Vincent Fairbanks ID’d as Man Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike in Southington
Southington, Connecticut (February 2, 2020) – The man who was killed early Saturday morning in a traffic accident in Southington has been identified as Vincent Fairbanks, 23, of Meriden.
The deadly two-car crash happened at around 1:27 a.m. Saturday, February 1 on Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike.
Authorities said a BMW was traveling on Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike when, for an unknown reason, it crossed the center median and collided with another vehicle driven by Toby Durgan, 63, of Southington.
Fairbanks, who was an occupant of the BMW, was declared deceased at the scene. Another occupant, Allissa Ducas, 21, of Meriden, was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury with major injuries.
Durgan was transported to Bradley Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
