Michael Valentin Seriously Injured in Bridgeport Scooter Accident at Boston Avenue and Remington Street
Bridgeport, Connecticut (February 15, 2020) – The scooter rider who was struck and seriously injured by a vehicle Friday night in Bridgeport has been identified by authorities as Michael Valentin, 36, of Stratford.
The accident happened on Friday, February 14 at the intersection of Boston Avenue and Remington Street.
Authorities said Valentin was riding his scooter through the intersection when he was struck by a vehicle driven by Andrew Grant, 29, of Mount Vernon, N.Y.
Valentin sustained major injuries as a result of the crash. Grant took him to Bridgeport Hospital for treatment.
Grant later returned to the crash site and cooperated with the authorities. The scooter was removed from the scene of the accident.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
