Joylinda Moet Among 4 Injured in Lisbon Head-On Crash on Route 12 near Bundy Hill Road
Lisbon, Connecticut (January 9, 2020) – Joylinda Moet, 24, of Norwich, sustained serious injuries following a traffic accident that happened Tuesday night in Lisbon.
The wreck took place at around 8:47 p.m. Tuesday, January 7 on Route 12, just south of the Bundy Hill Road intersection.
Police said a Kia Sorento, driven by Denise Stack, 38, of Colchester, was traveling southbound on Route 12 when for an unknown reason, the Kia crossed into the northbound lane and collided head-on with an oncoming Hyundai Accent driven by Jerry Marcel, 25, of Preston.
Marcel and his passenger, Moet, were transported by ambulance to the William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich with major injuries. Both were wearing seatbelts and their airbags deployed.
Stack and the girl riding in her vehicle were also transported by ambulance to Backus Hospital with minor injuries. Both were wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident.
Two tow trucks were dispatched to the scene to remove the two vehicles.
