Jerry Marcel Suffer Major Injuries in Head-On Crash on Route 12 near Bundy Hill Road in Lisbon
Lisbon, Connecticut (January 9, 2020) – Jerry Marcel, 25, of Preston, was seriously injured Tuesday night in a two-vehicle crash in Lisbon, authorities said.
The accident took place at around 8:47 p.m. Tuesday, January 7 on Route 12, just south of the Bundy Hill Road intersection.
According to the authorities, Denise Stack, 38, of Colchester, was driving a Kia Sorento southbound on Route 12 when for an undetermined reason, her vehicle drifted into the northbound lane and collided head-on with an oncoming Hyundai Accent operated by Marcel.
Marcel and his passenger, Joylinda Moet, 24, of Norwich, were transported by ambulance to the William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich with major injuries. Both were wearing seatbelts and their airbags deployed.
Stack and her passenger, an unidentified girl, were also transported by ambulance to Backus Hospital with minor injuries. Both were wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident.
Both vehicles were towed from the site of the crash.
