Denise Stack Injured in Head-On Crash on Route 12 in Lisbon

Denise Stack Among 4 Injured in Lisbon Car Accident on Route 12 near Bundy Hill Road

Lisbon, Connecticut (January 9, 2020) – Denise Stack, 38, of Colchester, was among four people injured in a head-on crash in Lisbon Tuesday night, according to police.

The accident happened at around 8:47 p.m. Tuesday, January 7 on Route 12, just south of the Bundy Hill Road intersection.

Police said Stack was driving a Kia Sorento southbound on Route 12 when for an unknown reason, she allowed her vehicle to cross over the double yellow line and collided head-on with a northbound Hyundai Accent driven by Jerry Marcel, 25, of Preston.

Marcel and his passenger, Joylinda Moet, 24, of Norwich, sustained major injuries and were transported by ambulance to the William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich. Both were wearing seatbelts and their airbags deployed.

Stack and the girl riding in her vehicle sustained minor injuries and were also transported by ambulance to Backus Hospital. Both were wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident.

Two tow trucks were dispatched to the scene to remove the two vehicles.
