17-Year-Old Boy, 16-Year-Old Girl Hospitalized after Winchester Bicycle Crash on Wheeler Street
Winchester, Connecticut (February 13, 2020) – Two juveniles were injured Wednesday evening in a bicycle accident in Winchester, according to a local news source.
The bicycle crash took place shortly after 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 12 on Wheeler Street.
According to police, a 17-year-old boy was riding a bicycle when he went into the road and crashed into the right fender of a vehicle.
The boy and a 16-year-old girl who was standing on the pegs of the bicycle wheel rim were injured as a result of the accident. Both were transported to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center with unspecified injuries.
The driver of the vehicle involved stopped at the scene and cooperated with police.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
